Feldenkrais Exercises

Feldenkrais Exercises By Ryan Nagy.

Moshe Feldenkrais did not like to use the word “exercise” or “exercises” to describe his work. In fact, he was adamantly opposed to using those words. He preferred to call his sessions “lessons” as they were designed to teach a person a better and more efficient way to move and be aware of himself or herself. “Exercise” as he saw it, was about working hard, trying hard and doing movements repetitively. Feldenkrais sessions are meant to be done slowly, with the least amount of effort possible, and with attention to the process and ease of movement. Regardless, if you searched for “Feldenkrais Exercises” on google or elsewhere, that’s fine. Just be aware that in the Feldenkrais world, we have a different take on things.

If you are looking for downloadable Feldenkrais Exercises that you can do in the comfort of you own home, please take a look at my Feldenkrias MP3 store which has a wide variety of “Feldenkrais Exercises.”

  1. MY 86 year old Father in law is challenged by dementia, a ‘botched’ prostate operation and resultant bowel problems, and an increasingly unstable gait. He
is being cared for at home, and the extra-thick carpeting really is bothersome.

This was mentioned specifically for such care-needs as my Father in law.
